Individual Therapy

Individual therapy is a joint process between you and a therapist. Therapy can help to inspire change or improve quality of life.

Therapy can help people overcome obstacles. It often increases positive feelings, such as compassion and self-esteem. Skills for handling difficult situations, making healthy decisions, and reaching goals are learned and many find they enjoy the therapeutic journey of becoming more self-aware. Some people even go to ongoing therapy for continued self-growth.

∼When choosing to use your mental health benefits know that insurance companies request client records (often including session notes for review) and require therapist to provide a mental health diagnosis that goes into your permanent medical record.  It is not uncommon for the insurance company to dictate the amount of sessions you are able to receive which can disrupt and hinder your progress.

Please give as much notice as possible for canceled or rescheduled appointments. If you miss the appointment or cancel with less than 24 hours notice, you will be charged your full session amount. I will charge missed appointment on the date of the missed session to the credit card on file. You may cancel an appointment by calling/texting 314-635-8877 and leaving a message.

∼In person appointments can be switched to virtual sessions at anytime when less than 24 hour notice isn’t possible.

∼ Occasional exceptions can be made for emergencies, but it is important we meet consistently to make progress.
